I found them one day on radio when I was listening to "Resident hit" (R.I.P.) programm. I never knew how they called until I had a computer for myself. Then, thanks to internet, I found out they were Siam Shade. Plus I used to watch lots of anime in my chilhood, among them particularly Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin in japanese), and I realized my favorite song was one of Siam Shade.
They were a japanese band formed in 1993 by Hideki (vocal) and Natin (bassist); adding Daita and Kazuma as guitarists and then Junji came as drumer. They started as an Indie band and got fame in 1997 when they recorded " 1/3 of pure inocence" for the anime I already mentioned.
Some themes are pure rock, but they tried some styles like pop rock, funk, metal plus some or others.
They mean my childhood; I grew up, mostly my whole adolescence, with their music. When I listen a song, even if have passed years without actually hearing it, I could remember the whole lyrics without doubt, and good memories came along.
The second theme I heard on radio was this:
It's called Blow Out, and I liked it so much that I could repeat it over and over again, never getting tired. I like it because it has a 5 seconds pause after first bridge, and it was something I had never heard in any other song. Well, I just like it. And lyrics of course ~ (is not like I understand japanese well but, I can look for lyrics, right?). It has been my favorite song since then. I feel something weird every time I hear it, something... special.
And they're amazing players. I know some songs in guitar too <3 but it's pretty hard for my little hands.
After a while I found out they separated in 2002, just when I started listening their songs. *heartbroken* So watching Lives and shows makes my heart suffer. Well, they're pretty old now <3 but I still hoping they come back again as the band I knew.
