Cooking Times @ 14:40

I love cooking. But I'm good only at confectionery and sweets, and my friends know me because of that. Always willing to cook something sweet for my dear ones.

This time I tried this recipe of Mochi.

But what is Mochi(餅)?
Mochi is a japanese sweet made of mochiko, or sweet rice flour and red bean past; eaten as a Japanese new year tradition.

I tried my own version, of course; I did't have that red bean past (and I don't really like it), so I used strawberries instead. You can buy the rice flour, as known as glutinous rice flour in any asian market. In Santiago you can find some at Patronato (Antonia Lopez de Bello street).

Here is a picture of my own mochi ♥

(looks really messy, but it's worthwhile. It's not that sweet, but with a cup of tea it tastes better. I prefer white tea.)
